A dual algorithm for extremal control of plants having inertia

Abstract: An approximate solution of the Bellman equation is used in design of a dual algorithm for extremal control of a second order plant having inertia and in the presence of noise. Dual algorithms are proposed for control of a plant with parameter drift with complete and incomplete data on the drift. The algorithm convergence is investigated and results of digital simulation are given.
