A model of a time sharing system operating in an alternating mode

Accurate and approximate expressions are derived for stationary probabilities of states, the mean queue length, and conditional mean time of response. Numerical results are given from comparison of the accurate and approximate results and of those obtained in averaging the system operating mode.
