Estimating the productivity loss in multi-processor systems in the case of conflicts in the sectionalized general memory

The paper is concerned multi-processor systems (MPS) with ROM of instructions and a sectionalized multi-input RAM for storage of operands. The execution time is determined for one instruction with due regard for conflicts caused by simultaneous access of several processors to the same RAM unit. Results are given for statistical modeling of MPS with more than two or three processors and quantitative estimates of the losses are given.
