Nonreferenced measurements and identification by methods of theory of sequence statistics

A method is proposed for nonreferenced measurement of a random parameter with a specified distribution which characterizes a totality of some objects. Direct measurement is out of the question but the parameters could be compared. The unknown value of the parameter is estimated as the mean of the associated sequence statistics. A new identification problem is posed, to determine an unknown static response with the output observable and the input unobservable. Examples are given.
