Abstract: The article presents a new empirical mathematical model of the dynamics of change in the coefficient of friction of a polymer on steel in a vacuum during ion bombardment, which contains a number of new tribological characteristics that allow a more detailed characterization of the frictional interaction. The validity of the developed mathematical model for describing the friction of the AMAN material on steel under a variable set of external conditions is shown.
