Abstract:
Phase transformations in Fe$_{1-x}$Ga$_x$ alloys were theoretically investigated in this work.
The Blume – Emery – Griffiths Hamiltonian and the Monte Carlo method were used
to simulate the transitions in a three-dimensional cubic lattice with a D0$_3$ structure,
consisting of iron and gallium atoms. The obtained data show that the phase transitions
A2$\to$A2$+$B2$\to$A2 are observed at a high cooling rate. At a low cooling rate, a larger
number of phases are observed, which is consistent with experimental data.
