Abstract: This work discusses the possibility of various signal detection methods due to nonlinear magnetoelastic properties in case an alternating magnetic field excitation. The main attention is paid to the properties of excited elastic oscillations under various excitation conditions. The nature and features of the magnetic and elastic oscillations excitation with amplitude-modulated and frequency-modulated signals, as well as at a difference frequency, are considered. It is noted that detection has a pronounced nonlinear character, since it occurs only at a sufficiently high level of excitation. The effectiveness of the excitation of elastic oscillations under various conditions has been evaluated.

Keywords: magnetostrictive transducer, nonlinear oscillations, ferromagnetic resonance, acoustic resonance, vibration detection.
