Abstract: A phase-field model is proposed for description of spatial dynamics of polystyrene surface under temperature front influence in oxygen-free environment. Parameters of phase-field model are derived from the parameters of the degradation kinetics, which was experimentally obtained on the basis of PCFC (pyrolysis combustion flow calorimetry) method. Simulation of one-dimensional phase-field problem is done. Calculations illustrate the features of numerical modeling in the framework of this model.

Keywords: dynamics of surface, pyrolysis of polystyrene, phase field.
