The investigation of spatial characteristics of gamma-family formed in interactions of protons and alpha-particles of primary cosmic rays with nuclei of air atoms
Abstract:
Based on the «Pamir» experiment data of ultrahigh energies $E_0 = 10^{16}$–$10^{17}$ eV were considered distributions of spatial characteristics $\rho=R_{1E}/\bar{R}_{\text{in}}$ for the initial $\gamma$-families, as well as the dependence of $\rho$ of the total summary energy $\sum Å_{\gamma}$ formed in interactions of protons and alpha-particles of the primary cosmic rays (PCR) with the nuclei of air atoms. Distributions and dependence of spatial characteristics $\rho$ for the initial $(p + \alpha)$-families differ in the experiment in relation to the model. This characteristic was sensitive to the mechanism of hadron-nuclear interactions at energies $E_0 = 10^{16}$–$10^{17}$ eV.
