Improving the technological process efficiency for manufacturing the parts using the die forging method

Abstract: The research paper describes the results of the finite element modeling for the processes of carbon steel cold extrusion, the stress-strain behavior of massive dies at high cyclic stresses typical for steel cold extrusion processes. The possibility for significant reinforcement of dies in their operational space by creating the alternating pressure from the specially designed bands is covered as well. The binding of the dies by alternating external pressure, which is proportional to the internal pressure in the die, is aimed at increase the service life of the tool.
