Abstract:
One of the problems of mechanical engineering is the production of castings from aluminum alloys with high accuracy. At the design stage rigging, to date, ignored such a property of metals, such as compressibility under high pressure. Performed in the work a comparative analysis based on the experimental data shows that the relative compressibility, that is, the ratio of metal required for full compensation of the total amount of shrinkage depends on the chemical composition of the alloy and the pressure imposed on the metal. At presented in the article charts show a clear distinction, both in absolute values of compressibility and the nature of its changes at different stages of the impact pressure. Analysis and comparison of installed dependencies provide information about the hidden properties of alloys that need to be considered during the design process, tooling, and also in the development of programs for the computer control system superimposed pressure.
