Abstract: Presented researches of the spectral characteristics of silver on quartz glass using computer modeling the interplay of light with nanoscale structures. Comparative analysis of the optical characteristics of thin films and granular structures (tightly packed different size and not tightly packed same size spheres) of the silver showed that the packing density and particle size of the nanometer scale significantly influence on the optical properties non-uniform metal coatings.

Keywords: visible light, non-uniform coating, reflection, transit, absorption.
