Nonlinear filtering with adaptation to local properties of the image

Abstract: Different approaches to the construction of digital nonlinear filters that operate by use of local image properties are offered. Structures of nonlinear filters with variable nonlinear-component weight and parametric adaptation are considered. The effectiveness of the proposed methods of filtering is illustrated by the examples of the additive Gaussian and impulse noise suppression.
