Abstract: An iterative method for calculating the light field eikonal from the condition of focusing into a set of points is considered. The proposed method is a generalization of the method of conforming paraboloids developed for designing mirrors generating discrete intensity or irradiance distributions as a set of points. The results of calculation of the eikonal functions and corresponding refractive optical elements to focus a collimated beam into a set of points in an elliptic region, in a cross region and in a label ĞIPSIğ are presented. The simulation results demonstrate high quality of focusing and thus confirm the robustness of the proposed method.

Keywords: geometric optics, eikonal, focusing into a set of points, the method of conforming paraboloids.
