Parametrical interaction of codirectional magnetoacoustic and alfven waves at magnetoacoustic instability

Abstract: The three wave-interaction of codirectional magnetoacoustic and Alfven waves in a heat releasing ionized gaseous medium is considered. We show the amplification of Alfven waves due to the parametrical energy transfer from unstable magnetoacoustic waves.
