On the automaton model of the learning process

We consider the problem of computer modelling of the process of learning a man in some problem domain. Basic requirements to computer-assisted learning systems are proposed. We thoroughly describe the main blocks of the really functioning computer-assisted learning system IDEA for Windows, which was designed by the authors on the base of their theoretical results on automaton models of the learning process.
