Abstract:
A noncontact method of measurement of electrical conductivity of nonmagnetic metals and alloys under impulsive loading is proposed. It is based on experimental determination of the nature of decay of eddy currents in the studied sample, which is a finite size foil disk. Theoretical justification of the proposed method is given. Experiments on determination of copper conductivity at pressures up to 16 GPa are performed.
