Abstract:
A physicomathematical model that describes unsteady motion of particles behind the shock wave and a corresponding mathematical technology of processing of experimental data on particle trajectories and velocities are developed on the basis of a comprehensive theoretical and experimental approach of mechanics of heterogeneous media. Comparative calculations by various available formulas for the drag coefficient of particles are performed. A new correlation form of the drag coefficient is proposed, which offers a satisfactory description of the particle trajectories and velocities obtained in various experiments.
