Abstract: A mathematical model of a spherical diffusion flame with heat losses and with allowance for incomplete combustion is proposed. The effect of heat losses and mass flow rate of the fuel on the degree of combustion incompleteness and flame radius and temperature is considered theoretically. A diffusion microflame with a single-stage mechanism of the chemical reaction is numerically modeled. In contrast to previous activities, the model proposed does not involve the assumption of low heat losses. A comparison of results obtained with available published data shows that the model considered offers an adequate description of the basic features of combustion of the diffusion microflame.
