Abstract:
The heat loss in combustion of gaseous and condensed materials is determined in plane and axisymmetric formulations. Generalized expressions are derived for the combustion quenching conditions versus pressure and the stability boundaries for steady-state combustion of condensed materials are obtained. It is shown that theoretical dependences of the critical diameter on pressure agree with experimental data on combustion of gas mixtures and condensed liquids and solids.
