Abstract: The effect of a heat-conducting element on the ignition and combustion of a cylindrical layer of a gasless mixture with a nonadiabatic lateral surface is studied. It is shown that the introduction of an element with high heat conductivity allows one to extend the region of ignition of the gasless composition by a heated surface and to increase burning rate under conditions of external heat release.

Keywords: functional gradient materials, gasless combustion, heat-conducting element, unsteady regimes, heat losses.
