Abstract:
This paper presents results of studies of shock-induced phase transformations in iron (polymorphic
$\alpha-\varepsilon$
transition) and cerium (isomorphic
$\gamma-\alpha$
transition) using a polyvinylidene fluoride pressure gauge.
