Abstract:
The effect of Stefan flow on the diameter of a moving carbon particle is analyzed. The stable (combustion) and critical (ignition, spontaneous and forced extinction) regimes of heat and mass transfer and the kinetics of parallel chemical reactions (Ñ + Î$_2$$\to$ ÑÎ$_2$ and 2Ñ + Î$_2$$\to$ 2ÑÎ) are determined with allowance for radiant heat transfer to the cold walls of the reaction device.
