Specific features of the nanoscopic spalling fracture near the grain boundary

Abstract: The spalling fracture in a copper crystallite with a specific intergrain boundary under pulsed loading is modeled numerically. It is found that the grain boundary changes the parameters of nonlinear waves generated by loading and significantly affects the character of the spalling fracture.
