Abstract:
A new approach for constructing the free energy of solids has been discussed in an earlier article [see Fiz. Goreniya Vzryva, Vol. 34, No. 4, 94–101 (1998)] and its effectiveness illustrated in a determination of the properties of solid diamond at high pressures and temperatures under shock loading. In this paper, this approach is modified for describing the thermophysical properties of liquids. The general results are demonstrated for the example of liquid diamond.
