Effect of small additives of ozone and hydrogen peroxide on the induction-zone length of hydrogen-air mixtures in a one-dimensional model of a detonation wave
Abstract:
The effect of ozone and hydrogen peroxide additives on the induction-zone length in hydrogen-air mixtures is studied. Numerical simulation is performed within the framework of the Zel’dovich–Neumann–Döring model, taking into account the detailed mechanism of the chemical reactions. Nonmonotonic variation of the induction-zone length is established. The abrupt reduction in the induction-zone length was found to be caused by a change in the leading mechanism of the hydrogen-combustion reaction.
