Thermal stability of distorted gas flame in porous media

Abstract: The stability of a plane flame front with respect to spatial perturbations is investigated for chemically inert media. The influence of the gas-filtration rate on the stability is analyzed. In the long-wave approximation, the dependence of the flame front velocity on the surface curvature is obtained.
