Investigation of nickel aluminide formed due to shock loading of aluminum-nickel mixtures in flat recovery ampoules

Abstract: Detailed results of an X-ray diffraction analysis of equimolar mixtures of nickel and aluminum with different particle sizes before and after shock loading in flat recovery ampoules are reported.
