Abstract:
The temperature dependence of the molar heat capacity of HoMnO$_{3}$ has been measured by differential scanning calorimetry. The experimental data have been used to calculate the thermodynamic properties of the oxide compound (changes in the enthalpy $H^\circ(T)$ – $H^\circ$(364 K), entropy $S^\circ(T)$ – $S^\circ$(364 K), and reduced Gibbs energy $\Phi^\circ(T)$). The data on the heat capacity of HoMnO$_{3}$ have been generalized in the range of 40–1000 K.
