Abstract:
The quasi-classical case of localized electric charge motion in a cylindrical nanowire has been theoretically studied taking into account the time dispersion of the permittivity. A strong electric field has been applied to the system, which makes it possible to maintain constant charge velocity. The time dependences of the potential have been analyzed for different charge velocities, and the results obtained by numerical and analytical methods have been compared. An expression for the power released by the system during phonon emission has been derived.
