Abstract: The influence of the chemical structure of the poly(arylenephthalide)-class polymers on the charge carrier transport through a metal/polymer interface has been discussed. On the basis of the results obtained by physical and optical methods and quantum chemical modeling, the conclusion is made that a change in the skeleton part of the polymer molecule leads to a substantial change in the value of the potential barrier.
