Abstract:
The interference of magnetoelastic waves propagating in the opposite direction in an yttrium iron garnet film and excited and received by current antennas is studied experimentally. It is shown that by adjusting the phase and amplitude of one of the interacting waves at frequencies near the frequencies of magnetoelastic resonances, the sensitivity of the signal level at the output antenna to a change in the magnitude of the bias field of more than 250 dB/Oe can be provided. The discovered effect can be useful in the development of magnetic field sensors.
