Abstract:
Self-organization of eight structurally and magnetically non-equivalent positions of manganese ions Mn$^{2+}$ in a unit cell of single-crystal lithium-gallium spinel Li$_{0.5}$Ga$_{2.5}$O$_{4}$ is demonstrated. The ions are self-distributed over these positions and the minima of the crystal field potential. Self-distribution of manganese ions becomes apparent in the spectra of Electron Paramagnetic Resonance (EPR).
Keywords:spinel single crystal, electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR), structurally nonequivalent ion positions.
