Abstract: The mechanisms of high-speed deformation of ultrafine-grained copper produced during severe plastic deformation by equal-channel angular pressing were analyzed using numerical modeling in comparison with those in the case of coarse-crystalline copper. The activity of annihilation processes during nonconservative motion and double cross slip of dislocations was estimated. Their effect on the macroscopic behavior of samples is shown.
