Abstract:
Orthovanadates Ce$_{1-x}$Bi$_{x}$VO$_{4}$ (1 $\ge x\ge$ 0) have been produced by solid-phase synthesis from initial oxides CeO$_{2}$, Bi$_{2}$O$_{3}$, and V$_{2}$O$_{5}$ upon step-by-step burning. The high-temperature heat capacity of Ce$_{1-x}$Bi$_{x}$VO$_{4}$ has been measured by differential scanning calorimetry. The experimental data on $C_p=f(T)$ were used to calculate the thermodynamic properties (the enthalpy changes, the entropy changes, and the Gibbs energy).
