Development of clinical pathway ontology for modeling of medical processes in general hospital

Abstract: The paper presents an ontological approach to development of electronic clinical pathways (CP). Meta-ontology was developed on the basis of 63 paper-based CPs used in Medical Centre of the Bank of Russia. Key concepts of electronic CP are described. Example of CP ontology for the management of patients with bronchial asthma exacerbation in the admission department is presented.
