Upgrading of a method of expert nominal-ordinal classification

Strengths and weaknesses of the method NORCLASS for complete (up to the expert knowledge) and consistent knowledge-based multiattribute nominal-ordinal classification are analyzed. Efficient upgrade of NORCLASS is proposed on the basis of procedures implemented in the method STEPCLASS designed for knowledge-based multiattribite nominal classification that allows removing the major weaknesses of NORCLASS while reserving its strengths.
