Cauchy problem for a special case of fluid motion in a pressure pipeline

Abstract: In this paper, we obtain an exact solution of the Cauchy problem for a system of inhomogeneous first-order partial differential equations of hyperbolic type, which describes a motion of a fluid in a pressure pipeline.
