Abstract:
The variant of a Ritz method is proposed for the description of a spin-orbit interaction using intermediate coupling scheme. The Slater determinants are built using the one-electron wave functions obtained from the solutions of Schrodinger equations in a central symmetric Hartree-Fock-Slater potential. The comparisons of calculations for various elements with the experimental data and with calculations by Hartree-Fock model are carried out. The Moszkowski method for effective accounting of a spin-orbit interaction is investigated.
