On the Theory of Vectorial Optical Transfer Operator of the Atmosphere-Ocean System

A. K. Kulikov, S. V. Maksakova, S. A. Strelkov, T. A. Sushkevich

Abstract: Vectorial optical transfer operator (VOTO) of the atmosphere-ocean system (AOS) as 1-d, 2-d or 3-d planar layer with the inner reflecting and refracting dividing interface is formulated in view of the multiple scattering and the polarization of the radiation in both media. We use the perturbation theory series and the influence functions (IF) of the vectorial general boundary-value polarized radiation transfer problem. The VOTO kernels are the tenzors of the influence functions (TIF) of both media. The basic models of the vectorial influence functions (VIF) are separated. The structure of the radiation field AOS is considered.
