Abstract: The persistent features of human behaviour essentially depend not only on individual psychological qualities, but also on the ensemble to which the person be-longs and on the connections, established in this open, self-organizing system. The abil o change the connections proves to be very important. In the paper the mathematical models for the description of the behaviour of such ensembles are formulated and analyzed. The proposed models are of the 'intermediate type' between cellular automata and newral networks. They may prove useful in other fields of 'soft' mathematical modelling as well.
