Sound Interpretation of Process of Computation

O. A. Isakov, N. A. Naumov

Abstract: The new class of software tool, intended for construction of sound interpretation of process of computation, is examined. They are created for getting expressive (convincing) sound image which reflects the number of states of researched (adjusted) program & computer complex. The process of correlating of separate event (events) with definite musical phonation is used for sound outcome. Verieties of sound interpretators are described depending on chosen method of reflection 'eventsound'. Experimental system of sound interpretation for debugging parallel programs for MIMD architecture is described in this paper. The initial data for the system is a trace fail of the debugging program. According to realized reflections we get at the output of the system a sound's trace - sound image - sound model of initial trace. 'Listening' of program's trace allows to find some program errors. The system is realized on the base of modern musical complex: IBM PC/386 DX + GRAVIS + KORG.
