Modeling of the dynamics of the railway system development

Abstract: A dynamical model for a transport network development is presented. The main feature of the model is that the network evolution takes place not under the centralized control, but as a self-organized process due to cargo demands and vertices development. Some scenarios of Russian and Ukrainian railway networks development were performed, using simulation systems based on that model.
