S. A. Makhov, A. V. Podlazov

Abstract: The work discusses the problems of modeling of global and regional development. In this study it is investigated questions of the unity of the world as a set of countries, interacting with each other on the basis of the study of the distribution of the world countries on such indicators as 'gross domestic product per capita'. It is shown that the dependence of the type of 'rank-size' for the indicator of well-nigh exponential function, which means the uniform distribution for the logarithm of this indicator. It is presented and investigated qualitative theoretical model that explains this fact.
