The no-slip boundary conditions for discontinuous Galerkin method

M. E. Ladonkina, O. A. Neklyudova, V. F. Tishkin, D. I. Utiralov

Abstract: A new way of implementation of no-slip boundary conditions for discontinuous Galerkin method for solving Navier–Stokes equations was proposed. The problem of streamline of flat plate by viscous weakly compressible gas was chosen for the numerical experiment. As a result a laminar stream was settled in the chosen area. The velocity distribution corresponds to the Blasius equation.

Keywords: discontinuous Galerkin method, Navier–Stokes equations, no-slip boundary condition.
