Abstract: The work is focused on the development of an algorithm for calculation of a thermal-hydraulic circuit operating as part of a nuclear power facility. To this end we consider a construction of a finite-difference scheme and an appropriate solution algorithm taking as a base a model of a heat-mass transfer by a flux of a single-phase weakly incompressible fluid. The used approach is based on the construction of finite-difference model that satisfies the conditions of conservativity, i.e. the method should maintain grid analogues of the basic conservation laws which are valid for the physical (differential) model. We offer a solution algorithm which generalizes a known successive elimination method for problems of calculating the heat exchange circuit with an arbitrary number of branches and pipe joints. The numerical technique is analyzed according to the criteria of stability and accuracy of the solution. The proposed method has an advantageous property, which is a natural parallelization of the corresponding computational work. Thus the method is promising for implementing calculations at multiprocessor systems, including systems of a hybrid architecture.
