Estimation of typical frequencies of pressure pulsations in a flow over a rectangular cavity

Abstract: The results of the numerical calculations of transonic flow over the cavity with a transitional type of flow are presented. The analysis of the spectrum of the pressure fluctuations in the cavity is done. It is proposed an algorithm for automatic detection of typical frequencies, eliminating the element of subjectivity and allowing to distinguish the basic frequencies with less calculations than by visual analysis of the spectrum.
