Abstract: Interactive algorithms of 2D mapping of an image produced by a standard "fisheye" camera to the virtual wide, normal and top down views are considered. Visualization of guidelines in the resultant views is elaborated. The guidelines show the car path depending on the rotation angle of the steering wheel. These mapping algorithms and guidelines visualization are used during developing modern car navigation and driver assistant systems. The algorithms are integrated into CATIA (Dassault Systems) CAD system.

Keywords: rear camera, navigation, augmented reality, ray tracing.
