The convergence of the shock wave in the presence of energy release

N. V. Zmitrenko, O. R. Rahimly

Abstract: The task about a convergence to the center of the spherical shockwave caused by an energy liberation at the expense of a volume source of heat is considered. The law of motion of a wave front, i.e. dependence of radius of the shock front on time, in this case can be already received from temperature for dimension reasons (self-similarity of the first sort) unlike a classical problem definition within model of "pure" gas dynamics (self-similarity of the second sort). For the purpose of the analysis of behavior of a shockwave near the center in the environment with an energy release a number of computing experiments was carried out. These researches showed that, nevertheless, near the center of a cumulation the law of a convergence of a shockwave, as well as for a case of non-dissipative gas dynamics is still realized.

Keywords: gas dynamics, shock wave converging, self-similarity, energy release.
