Abstract:
The preprint presents 3D generalization of the previously proposed model for computation of two-phase flows of one-component liquids. The model is focused on holding direct numerical simulation (DNS) of complex two-phase flows. The model is based on the single-speed concept and the concept of the diffuse interface. Thermodynamic functions of a two-phase medium are based on the equations of state of real pure phases. The thermodynamic component of the model supplies an opportunity to use the diffuse interface concept. 3D numerical calculations are fulfilled and analyzed. The analysis of numerical effectiveness of the corresponding MPI code is presented.
